My father-in-law passed away

So we had a service in church

This is my niece lighting a candle

Taking pictures in church was not easy.

I knew this day was coming and that I wanted to take photographs, but my D700 would be too noisy and too big. This would be Leica territory, but I sold mine years ago.

I was looking for a stealthier camera for some time, so I decided to get the X100. Great camera.

With this one, I could take pictures all the time during the service. To paraphrase Chase Jarvis: "The best camera is the one you can actually use".

It was a day full of emotion, so I set the camera to Program - Auto ISO - Auto WB, I had no room for technical finesse.
